We caught up with Sandra, who is one of the newest members of the Sync Elite Athletes. It was clear to us from the start that Sandra didn't want to be sent a new cockpit; she actually needed it. Her attention to detail was something that caught our eye and made it an easy partnership.

Q: What made you reach out to Sync Ergonomics in the first place? What was going on that prompted you to get in touch?
I had been looking for a high-end cockpit for a while, something that would allow me to work with more angles and really optimize my aero position, while still being compatible with my Cervelo P5.
When I came across Sync Ergonomics during my research, it immediately stood out as a solution that could help me take a step forward in my position.
Q: When we talked through what you were dealing with, the AB03 extensions felt like a natural fit. What was it about them that seemed like the right solution for you?
What convinced me of the AB03 extensions was the level of adjustability, especially in terms of angle, combined with a real performance-driven design.
I was looking for a setup that would let me move into a more aggressive position without compromising comfort or power output, and the AB03 felt like the perfect match.

Q: How did the bike fit go when you set them up? Walk us through what that process looked like.
We first did a bike fit session with my previous cockpit at 3D Cycling Lab in Girona, which helped identify the key areas for improvement.
Once we installed the AB03, we were able to increase the angle, move my position forward, and fine-tune everything to find the right balance between aerodynamics, comfort, and power production.

Q: You’ve had a chance to get some time on the AB03 now — what are your first impressions? How have they felt out on the road?
My first impressions are really positive. I feel like I can produce more power while staying in a lower, more aero position.
The armrests are especially impressive compared to anything I’ve used before. It’s very easy to get in and out of the position, but once you’re settled, you feel extremely stable and locked in.
It almost feels like a custom cockpit that perfectly follows the shape of your forearms, and the extensions themselves make it easy to relax your hands while still maintaining great control.

Q: Have you noticed any difference in your position or comfort compared to what you were running before?
Yes, definitely. My position is more aggressive and aerodynamic, but still very comfortable over time.
The balance between comfort and performance is clearly better, which allows me to stay in an efficient position for longer without breaking down.
Q: What are you hoping the AB03 extensions do for you as you head into the season? What would a win look like?
This season, I’ve decided to go back to a few 70.3 races I’ve already done before. I’m really curious to see how much I can improve my bike splits and directly compare my performance with this new setup.
A win for me would be to see a clear, measurable improvement in both speed and consistency, while maintaining strong sensations throughout the effort.
We wish Sandra an amazing season and the best mechanical luck! Watch out for her!
